The wait is finally over, the Unbox episode 2 has unveiled Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – a phablet device from Samsung . The much anticipated & long rumoured device  along with a new Galaxy Gear watch has also been launched .

It's a light weight 168 grams phone.

Sepcifications of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 :


  • A 5.7 inch screen with SuperAMOLED Display with 1080p Resolution with 336 ppi ( pixels per inch ).
  • Runs on 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor / 1.9GHz Samsung Exynos Octacore depending on market.
  • Latest Android 4.3 Jellybean OS.
  • 13 MP HD camera at rear, 2 megapixel front camera
  • 32 or 64GB Internal storage
  • MicroSDXC card storage expansion
  • Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11ac, LTE Category 4
  • 3200 mAh battery
  • LED/IR combo
Some of the other specifications are S-Voice natural language commands and dictation, Air gestures, SNS integration, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, Dropbox (50 GB storage), Organizer, Image/video editor, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa, Voice memo/dial/commands, Predictive text input (Swype)

Galaxy note 3 is lighter than Note 2, i’ll do a comparision between Samsung galaxy Note 3 vs Note 2 on the next post .

The note 3 device is expected to hit the market from september 25, 2013 . The availablility of countries , price details are still not yet revealed .

Overall, Samsung again has a winner in its hands. By improving its build quality and design, and packing a lot under the hood, the South Korean giant has made its newly launched handset an un-resistable one, even with a premium price tag. By delivering such a feature packed phone, Samsung has clearly outlined who’s King in the phablet market.  

The allure of the phablet is screen size and Samsung has easily delivered a great device with by connecting the extra screen real estate with a compact form. 

The enhancements made in Note 3 clearly position the device as a great productivity tool and its improved usability means you have the best phablet available in the market. 

With both HTC and Nokia rumoured to be releasing a phablet each by the end of the year, the phablet market is looking to witness some great competition.
